Social Anxiety, often called Social Phobia, is the fear of social situations. A person suffering from social anxiety will avoid any social situation at just about any cost.
This person will make excuses for not going to a social event or make excuses for leaving a social event early.

Regardless the reason someone has social anxiety, the reason they continue suffering from social anxiety is repetition.
Repeated negative thoughts will ensure a person failure at overcoming social anxiety. “I’m stupid” or “I am a screw up” are two examples of such thoughts.
To overcome social anxiety one must replace the negative thoughts with positive ones, and repetition is the key.
Repeating such phrases as “I am smart” or “I can handle this” in place of the negative thoughts are more successful to overcoming social anxiety.
Remember, repetition is the key, so shout out “I CAN DO THIS!” as often as you can!
